Adventure-News   Tales of Monkey Island: Guybrush Threepwood und LeChuck sind im Sommer zurĂĽck!  
LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC und Telltale nehmen die Monkey Island Serie wieder auf und werden noch in diesem Sommer ein neues Piraten-Abenteuer in 5 Episoden mit dem beliebten Helden Guybrush Threepwood für PC und WiiWare ™ veröffentlichen. Die erste Episode wird am 7. Juli 2009 fertig gestellt sein. Außerdem wird es im Spätsommer eine Special Edition des ersten im Jahr 1990 veröffentlichten Abenteuers "The Secret of Monkey Island™ geben.

Ăśber Tales of Monkey Island
Tales of Monkey Island wird eine neue Ära der Abenteuer von Guybrush Threepwood anstimmen. Mit einer explosiven Story, die tiefgründiger und verwickelter sein wird, als die ersten 5 Spiele, will Telltale dem schlaksigen Piraten neues Leben einhauchen. Während er gegen seine Nemesis ankämpft, den bösen Piraten LeChuck, entfesselt Guybrush versehentlich einen Voodoozauber, der die Seeräuber der Karibik in widerborstige Piratenmonster zu verwandeln droht. Fans der Serie können sich auf den Humor, die Romantik und draufgängerischen Aktionen der bisherigen Abenteuer freuen.

Tales of Monkey Island wird von Telltale entwickelt. Im Entwicklerteam befinden sich Designer, die an allen vorherigen Monkey Island Spielen mitgearbeitet haben.

Ăśber The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition
Auf Grund zahlreicher Nachfragen, wird es eine Neuauflage des Klassikers mit hochauflösender Grafik, neuer Musik und vollständig überarbeiteter Sprachausgabe geben. Außerdem wird ein tiefgreifendes Hilfesystem eingebaut, um unerfahrenen Spielern den Weg durch das Abenteuer zu erleichtern. Das Spiel schickt unseren Helden, Guybrush Threepwood, auf eine lustige Reise durch das sagenumwobene Monkey Island. Piratengeschichten haben Guybrush schon immer fasziniert. Nun landet er mit hohen Erwartungen, ohne Geld und dem unstillbaren Verlangen ein Pirat zu werden im Hafen von Mêlée. Wenn der Spieler clever genug ist, wird unser Held das Vertrauen der ortsansässigen Piraten gewinnen. Schon bald darauf kann sich Guybrush den Wind um die Nase wehen lassen und nach Monkey Island segeln – eine märchenhafte Insel, deren Name alleine ausreicht, um dem blutrüstigsten Piraten kalte Schauern über den Rücken zu jagen.

The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition wird wie die bisherigen Abenteuer der Serie von LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC entwickelt und auf Xbox LIVE® Arcade für die Xbox 360® und für PC erhältlich sein.

The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition wird nur der Anfang einer Reihe von Neuauflagen der alten beliebten LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC Adventure sein. Das klassische Adventure "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (im Original 1992 veröffentlicht) wird schon bald als Bonusspiel dem neuen Indy Abenteuer "Indiana Jones und der Stab der Könige" für Wii™ beiligen.
